Spring is a beautiful time to be back in Beechworth!

The days are getting warmer, Lake Sambell is looking its best and there’s plenty happening around town over the next couple of months. Add in school holidays, long weekends, cycling trails, local events and plenty of time outdoors, and there are more than a few good reasons to come back to Beechworth this spring.

And with the park right on the shores of Lake Sambell and only a short walk from the centre of town, you can leave the car behind and enjoy Beechworth at your own pace.

Step back in time in Beechworth

One of the best parts of staying in Beechworth is having so much of the town’s history right on your doorstep.

Take a wander through the Beechworth Historic Precinct and discover the stories behind one of Victoria’s most significant Gold Rush towns. Visit the historic Courthouse, explore the Burke Museum, stop by the Telegraph Station or join one of the daily Gold Rush and Ned Kelly walking tours.

The precinct is in the heart of town, making it easy to spend a few hours exploring before stopping for lunch, browsing the local shops or continuing your day around Beechworth.
